About the Tutor

Emma joined LPW as a member and volunteer after graduating in 2012 with a degree in Fine Art from De Montfort University. In 2015 she was awarded Artist in Residence as part of the LPW Big Move project. Emma is currently a tutor at LPW and teaches a diverse range of printmaking techniques, which is reflected in her practice.

Ambiguous places, suggestive forms and isolation are all themes of exploration in her practice. Printmaking is a way of visualising and developing those ideas through process, subtly questioning ideas of space, concealment and transition, which evoke a sense of stillness and silence.

Alongside her practice Emma works as a Learning Deliverer and Gallery Assistant at Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park in Warwickshire, where she has an opportunity to pursue her passion for education outside the classroom.
