Tutor  Emma Gardner

Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (Key) is a four colour separation process used to create photographic images by layering the colours on top of each other. This course will show you how this technique can be applied to screenprinting. Learn how to halftone and seperate an image into four colours. Expose your image to screen, mix colours, register and print in layers.

About the Tutor

Emma Gardner is an artist and printmaker. She joined LPW as a member and volunteer after graduating in 2012 with a Degree in Fine Art from De Montfort University. In 2014 she became a studio volunteer, regularly assisting the studio team with the day to day running of the workshop. She was awarded a LPW Artist Residency in 2015. Although her work employs mostly photographic printmaking processes, she enjoys teaching a range of printmaking processes.
