A fantastic introduction to the world of CMYK monoprinting.

You will explore making a full rainbow of colours using just three inks before finding your own palette of colours to experiment with. You will learn how to use registers and stencils to create unique, vibrant prints.

Perfect for beginners or those wishing to refresh their art practice.

  • Demo of layering up
  • Demo of using found objects and stencils
  • Cleaning up and evaluations
  • There will be a half hour break and plenty of time for experimentation

About the Tutor

Currently based in Leicester, Kate Da'Casto is a fine artist whose practice spans drawing, photography, printmaking, installation and sculpture. Her subject matter is usually about transformation, growth and the emotional resonance of the discarded.

Graduating from Fine Art from De Montfort University in 2010, Kate went on to win three prestigious awards for printmaking and her art practice and to exhibit locally and nationally. She has collaborated and exhibited as part of The Attic fine art collective and she has taught Fine Art at Leicester De Montfort University and printmaking at LPW.

Leicester Print Workshop 

Leicester Print Workshop is the regional development centre for printmaking. Established by artists in 1986, we are a registered charity, supported by Arts Council England. Our RIBA award-winning building is situated in Leicester City Centre's Cultural Quarter and is home to a large, well equipped open access Printmaking Studio.

We have over 30 years’ experience of teaching people printmaking. Our programme offers the largest number and broadest range of printmaking courses in the region, with courses suitable for beginners as well as experienced printmakers, delivered by practicing artists and nationally renowned tutors. Participants learn in small and friendly groups in our purpose-designed studio.
